I recently had the incredible opportunity to experience lyf Cebu City and let me tell you, it's not just accommodation; it's a lifestyle! Nestled in the vibrant heart of Cebu, it's part of the Baseline Center—a mixed-use development that screams convenience and travel-friendly vibes. Located exactly at Tower 3, Baseline Center, Brgy. Capitol Site, Cebu City. It offers the perfect blend of premium co-living while experiencing the rich culture of Cebu.
HOW TO GET THERE
By Airport Transfer:
It is a 30-minute drive from the airport, which will cost approximately Php 1,720 NETT.
Metered Taxi or GrabCar is an approximately 30-minute drive with fees starting from PHP 500.
Angkas, Joyride, Maxim - these are motorcycle-hailing platforms that help Filipinos beat the traffic-congested streets of the Philippines. You can download these apps on playstore or istore. Rates vary on peak hours and seasons.
Jeepney Jeepneys sometimes called jeeps are minibus-like public utility vehicles, serving as the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines.
Habal-habal - these are local motorcycle drivers usually hailed along the city streets. It's like Angkas, Joyride, Maxim drivers but no app is needed. They are available on streets everywhere in Cebu.
At the ground level, you'll be warmly welcomed by friendly guards ready to assist you with your luggage, if you have any.
Then, you will be directed to the 5th floor of the building where the check-in counter and the shared amenities are located. From the moment I stepped into lyf Cebu City's 5th floor, the energy was palpable. The "Say Hi" or the usual check-in counter that we know, immediately sets the tone with its brightly-colored lobby plus the crews!

I was actually dying to explore the 5th floor but decided to settle in first so I won't be roaming around, taking pictures with my baggage with me. LOL!
lyf Cebu City caters to dynamic travelers like us, offering a range of options – from the uniquely styled 'One of a Kind' Studio to the social 'Side by Side' Twin Room and the 'All Together' Two-Bedroom or Four-Bedroom spaces.
We stayed in a 'One of a Kind' Studio room. For me, it's very spacious for two people. Too bad I wasn't able to take photos of the restroom but it's one of my favorites. The interiors are not just visually appealing; they're a testament to lyf's core values of curiosity, togetherness, authenticity, creation, and freedom.
What I also like about this newest co-living space is that it has implemented the Ascott Clean360. Lyfs' focus on wellness aligns perfectly with my desire for a holistic travel experience.
They acknowledged the importance of mental and physical well-being, offering reassurance that my stay goes beyond the physical aspects of cleanliness. Their commitment to wellness reflects an understanding of the modern traveler's needs and contributes to an environment where I can truly unwind and rejuvenate.
Call me "taga-bukid" but I also found it fascinating how they conserve energy here. According to one of the staff, the energy automatically shuts down when no human movements are detected. Plus, there's no need to be concerned about entering the room feeling humid. They've implemented exhaust systems that allow the coolness from the lobby to circulate into the rooms.
Amazing, right? :)
THE AMENITIES
As I explored the property, I couldn't help but be drawn to the vibrant social spaces. I must say all corners are very Instagrammable.

How the interior was made, makes laundry not just a chore but a fun and vibrant experience. To check on the laundry rates, you may go to "Say Hi" area for assistance as they are only accepting cash at the moment.
Once you've finished doing your laundry, feel free to treat yourself to beverages and snacks available at the food vending machine.
4. BOND (SOCIAL KITCHEN)
Allows guests to cook and share recipes, adding a gastronomical element to the trip.
5. BURN (SOCIAL GYM)
The communal fitness center, where the shared workout sessions brought an extra dose of motivation.
Another favorite is the rabbit hole where you can just slide after your workout to either go grab some food at the Bond or go Dip in the pool.
6. HANGOUT (MEZZANINE)
Where you can chill and spend time with the fantastic lyf crew. I got insider tips on the best spots in Cebu and had a blast getting to know the team better.
7. DIP (SWIMMING POOL)
You can take a dip at the swimming pool while enjoying the city views—a perfect reset.
Oh, and did I mention the 24/7 access to all these amenities? Except for the pool, available from 6 AM to 10 PM for maintenance, but honestly, who needs a pool at midnight?
