In embracing this "new normal" rainy season, everyone is urge to not just double but triple our preparation to protect our health and those of our loved ones. We have listed here some precautionary measures that you must follow.

Always keep an umbrella handy during the monsoon season. This will not just to keep you from getting wet and falling sick but also to protect your valuable items such as mobile phone, notebook, wallets etc., from getting wet during the downpour. Raincoat and waterproof boots are essentials too whenever you are outside in times of rainy days.
Make sure that all windows are tightly closed during rainy days. Aside from preventing mosquitoes and other insects from invading your homes, you also need to make sure your windows can be closed all the way to avoid water from entering your home during heavy rainfall. Rain water will not only ruin wall paint and flooring, it might also reached your wirings, which can be disastrous.
Eating green and leafy foods are known to boost ones immune system. Eating healthy food is the cheapest way to protect you from sickness especially now a days where Corona Virus is still at its height. With todays happening in the world, it's a must to look at your health as your major priorty.
Make sure to eat Vitamin C-rich foods to boost your immune system and to prevent from flu or any other infections this rainy season. Also, watch out for diarrhea, one of the common rainy-day diseases often caused by eating spoiled foods or contaminated water. Always remember to wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly to be safe.
According to experts, there are between 2 to 10 million bacteria on your fingertips and elbows. The number of germs on your fingertips doubles after you use the toilet. And when you don’t wash your hands, you transfer germs to the food and drinks you eat. Your hands spread 1,000 times more germs when they are damp than when they are dry.
So, make sure to wash your hands with soap frequently to keep from getting colds, cough and influenza. Wash your hands properly by lathering soap between your fingers, under your nails and the top of your hands. Rinse and dry your hands thoroughly to get rid of the germs.
Water-borne diseases are very common during the rainy season. Be cautious of contaminated water sources that could bring diseases such as diarrhea, amoebiasis and cholera. If you’re unsure of the water supply, boil it to be safe.
Dengue, a fatal disease caused by mosquitoes, is the most rampant disease during the rainy season.
Don’t leave any water stagnant and throw away the things that may promote mosquito breeding. Keep your waterways clean. Besides dengue, leptospirosis is rampant because of floods that may contain animal urine causes bacterial infection.
