For sure, with the things that are going on with our world right now due to COVID-19, Filipinos would definitely seek different relief aids our government could offer and one of which is by availing the PAG-IBIG Calamity Loan.
The good news is, Pag-IBIG approved online filing of loans, including Calamity Loans, amidst the enhanced community quarantine due to COVID-19. According to Proclamation 929, the state of calamity will last for six months unless earlier lifted or extended by the President. This sounds too long right? But until Philippines will be able to flatten the curve of COVID-19, it's best to take our part and stay home.
The Pag-IBIG Fund Calamity Loan is a cash loan facility to assist Pag-IBIG Fund members who reside in areas declared under a state of calamity and are affected by such disasters. The loan seeks to provide immediate financial assistance to help members recover from the effects of such calamity. It comes at a low interest rate of 5.95% per annum. The loan is payable within 24 months and has a deferred first payment.
1. Fill out the Fillable Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL) Form and Calamity Loan Application Form.
2. Save the filled-out form as PDF file. Signatures are not required for those who are filling out their forms online. This is an alternative process for those who don't have access to printers. Those with a printer will have to sign the form, scan or take a photo of the filled out application forms and other requirements. For those who are filling out the form online, make sure you have the Adobe Acrobat Reader so you can fill out the forms digitally.
3. Send the PDF file via email to your company HR, authorized company representative, Fund Coordinator or if you, if you are a voluntary PAG-IBIG member along with (1) valid ID and the front and back images of your Loyalty Card Plus, or Landbank, UCPB, or DBP cash card. For first-time borrowers with no Loyalty Card Plus, Landbank, or DBP Cashcard will be advised further on how to receive their loans best.
