Samsung and Runrio are teaming up once again with Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines for the highly anticipated Galaxy Earth Day Run 2025, happening simultaneously in Manila, Cebu, and Davao.This year’s theme, “Run with Purpose,” highlights the importance of environmental awareness and taking collective action toward a more sustainable future.
Runners can choose from 5K, 10K, or 21K race categories, the goal of 17,000 participants are expected across all three cities. In Cebu, the City Di Mare route will offer a refreshing coastal breeze and a scenic run along the South Road Properties.
As of this writing, over 16,000 people have signed up, showing strong support for this meaningful initiative.Participants will also get the chance to experience the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7, Samsung’s latest smartwatches designed with durability, performance, and sustainability in mind. These devices support runners in tracking their progress while aligning with the event’s environmental mission.
The event will implement eco-conscious practices such as optimized water distribution to reduce plastic waste, and eco-friendly materials for race collaterals. Waste management and recycling will be led by Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines.
